Our Missionaries

Community Bible Fellowship (CBF) supports missionaries who work with a variety of important ministries around the globe. In addition to sending financial resources to the mission field, CBF periodically sends work teams to the mission field on short term trips. CBF attenders have ministered in Russia, Belgium, Puerto Rico, England, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Brazil, Japan and St. Vincent as well as in the US in local prisons, Tennessee, Kalamazoo, New York City through Spread Truth and the Pontiac Caring Pregnancy Center.

 John and Linda Berger 

John and Linda Berger are full-time staff members of International Students Inc., an organization committed to reaching international college students who are here in the U.S. getting their education.  John and Linda's mission field is Illinois Weslyan University and Illinois State University where they welcome students as they arrive at school, disciple them toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and encourage American students to reach out to the internationals that God places in their path.  The Bergers work in cooperation with local evangelical churches who assist with hosting weekly dinners, fellowship time and Bible studies for the students.  They also plan various activities to expose the international students to American culture.  Scott & Aldine Blunier 

Scott and Aldine Blunier and their three girls work in support ministry for Project Amazon in Brazil. Scott is the mission accountant and office administrator as well as building maintenance coordinator.  Both Scott and Aldine work in counseling, discipleship and small group ministry at the mission.  The Bluniers contact info is:

 Clayt Irmeger 

Clayt Irmeger incorporated His Harvest Ministries in 2005 complete with a board of directors and a prayer team.  The primary focus of Mr. Irmeger's mission work is encouraging people.  He encourages people to be mobilizers (coming alongside people who sense the Lord is challenging them to consider an expanded ministry role) and to be mentors (offering support to people who will mentor others in ministry).  He also fosters Prayer Teams by inviting children, youth, adults, ministries, and marketplace businesses to have their own prayer teams.  Clayt's life Bible verse is Luke 10:2 "The harvest is great, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into His harvest."  Clayt's contact information is:

 Steve & Nancy Jeffreys 

Stephen and Nancy in Kingdom Seeker Ministries mentor and disciple new missionaries prior to and in the beginning of their field experiences.  They visit missionaries and hold workshops, Bible Schools, retreats, prayer walks and generally offer spiritual support.  Among other areas of mission work, they have discipled missionaries in the Dominican Republic, Russia and Tunisia.  Their ministry continues to grow as they have moved into a new facility in north Normal, IL.  Steve & Nancy's contact information is:

 Joel & Sally Kaufman 

Joel and Sally Kaufman and their five children have served as missionaries in Japan.  They have worked toward bringing untouched souls to the Lord for many years through church planting, street evangelism, coffee house ministry, small group ministry, and English/Bible studies. Now two of the Kaufman children are in the US at college, one is in Nepal in the mission field, one works in Japan and one is still with Joel and Sally. The Kaufman's have recently moved to a new location in Japan:  Takamatsu, on the island of Shikoku.  They are excited to continue their ministry among the many Filipino Christians who live and work there.

 Audrey Ooms 

Audrey Ooms is a 30-year old English teacher in Budapest, Hungary.  She grew up in Community Bible Fellowship church and, after teaching in Illinois, was called by God to minister to international students, using her gifts in English studies and evangelism combined to do God's work there.  She was mobilized by Campus Crusade for Christ.  Audrey's contact information is:

 Al & Daisy Ortiz 

Both Al and Daisy were born in Puerto Rico and lived in New York City as teens. After Al served in the Navy, he met Daisy and they were married.

In 1966, Al transferred to Columbia, SC where they came to know Christ and became involved in the Navigators, ministering to Spanish soldiers at Fort Jackson, SC. Two years later, they started a Spanish church in Columbia. After Al completed his education, they served as church-planting missionaries in the Dominican Republic.

From 1981 through 1984, Al started a research project for Miami that became his masters' thesis. In 1990, the Ortizes were called to Miami to work among the growing Hispanic population. They work in a joint effort for Latin America Mission and World Team in a project called "Christ For The City Project." Al and Daisy are gifted in church planting and leadership development and continue to be actively involved in reaching the Hispanic population in Miami for Christ.  Al and Daisy contact information is:
