| This weekly ministry is just what is says! Children have their own church while their parents worship in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings. We believe it is good to have children learn how to behave during church services so they begin the church service in the auditorium with their parents. At the end of the worship music set, children are escorted to the Children's Church area near the rear of the auditorium for their own worship in song. After their opening, they are split into two groups according to their ages. There they have activities that teach them Biblical basics as well as socialization with other children. The preschool through kindergarten children hear a short Bible story and spend a few minutes coloring. Then they have group play time followed by a snack and social time with their teacher and assistant. The 1st -3rd grade students have a Bible lesson and related craft activity followed by interactive learning with their instructors. All the activities reinforce the lesson of the day. By the time a child is entering 4th grade, he or she is ready to participate in the adult church service. |
